Abu Simbel was Ramses II most famous monument. It is a big temple with four huge statues of Ramses II. It took 20 years and a lot of people to build (and it wasn't even a pyramid...). The huge statues were built to guard the temple. These statues were the second biggest statues. (The Sphinx was the largest)
